Vivian L Varasdi
Artist

I am Vivian Varasdi, a fine art and visual media artist with a unique journey that has shaped my artistic perspective. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, my artistic journey began at the young age of 12, when I first picked up a paintbrush at La Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo, DR. This early passion for art ignited my creative spirit and set me on a path of artistic exploration.

At the age of 16, my family and I immigrated to the United States, where I continued to nurture my artistic talents. I pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Arts from New Jersey City University. My dedication to the arts was further recognized when I won 2nd place at the 26th Annual NJ Young Filmmakers’ Festival in 2004.

Beyond my visual media endeavors, I am also a passionate author and illustrator. I have authored children's books such as "The Bottle That Was Left Behind," a story that champions recycling, and "The Enchanted Balloon," a magical environmental tale with endearing characters designed to raise awareness among children about the perils of pollution.

Currently, I call California my home, where I reside with my husband and our beloved daughter, Valentina. My artistic journey continues to evolve, guided by my deep-rooted passion for creativity and my unwavering commitment to environmental consciousness.
